The Mercedes-Maybach version of the EQS SUV, which is considerably more opulent than the standard model that was just unveiled, will soon arrive.
Mercedes Maybach OVERVIEW
The Mercedes-Maybach division is developing its version of the EQS SUV, which is Mercedes’ premier electric SUV. Many design elements that might appear in the actual model were hinted at in the concept from the previous year, and now that we have seen it in metal, we know what to expect better.
We don’t anticipate any significant modifications to the body, similar to the impending facelifted Mercedes-Maybach GLS (the EQS SUV’s internal combustion engine alternative). The limited camouflage visible in these spy photos suggests that the vehicle is almost ready for manufacturing.
We anticipate seeing an improved grille shape and headlight design with lower air intakes based on the front of this test vehicle.
Given Maybach’s past, the development car’s wheels are wobbling. The regular EQS SUV has 21-inch wheels, therefore the Maybach might get even larger ones given that the concept car had 24-inch rims. The side steps will probably be there in the finished product since, according to Mercedes, they actually increase aerodynamic efficiency.
Mercedes-Maybach EQS the performance expected
Nearly all of the metalwork in the back is concealed. Even so, the car will gain more attractive rear lights and a Maybach emblem on the rear pillar.
The same EVA II architecture that supports all EQE and EQS models will exist below the Maybach EQS SUV. With a 107.8kWh battery and two electric motors with a combined output of 536 horsepower and 858 Nm that give it a 381-mile driving range. With this performance, it can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 4.5 seconds.
2023 sees the release of the EQS SUV, with the opulent Maybach model following perhaps a few months later.
What is the concept of Mercedes-Maybach EQS?
In 2021, Mercedes made its Maybach concept premiere at the Munich Auto Show. The Mercedes-Maybach EQS Concept was created to display the EQS SUV’s look as well as the extra-luxurious and environmentally friendly features that will be included in its Maybach version. A large flat front grille, ultra-slim headlamps, and a distinctive Maybach two-tone color scheme in black and red metallic paints are all present on the exterior.
The luxury sub-other brand’s unique features include sensors in the driver’s door that open it automatically as the driver approaches, huge 24-inch alloy wheels, chrome pin-striping, and detailing on the running boards at the base of the sills. The back doors can also be remotely opened. It is unknown if these features will make it into the final product.
The inside of the concept(Concept Mercedes-Maybach EQS ) had a number of elements borrowed from the most recent S-Class, such as a pair of “first-class suite” seats in the back, a top-of-the-line entertainment system, and a “vase insert” in the center tunnel. The design includes a storage space that may house a refrigerator, a box of champagne glasses, or folding tables. According to Mercedes, the larger calf rests on the seats than on a typical limousine and is made possible by the greater seat height made possible by the SUV body.
A large MBUX Hyperscreen that occupies virtually the whole front of the dashboard features graphics exclusive to the Maybach. For the front passenger, it has a 12.3-inch OLED screen so they can have their own display and control panel. The system incorporates eye-tracking technology to comply with screen usage laws; if it detects the driver is fixed on the passenger’s display, it dims some types of content that would be prohibited.
